Sparkle is full of character and a stable favorite. As a foal she would gallop across the paddock leaving the mares to meet you at the gate! She is well handled, will hard tie, have her feet handled and can catch her anywhere. She is compact type, with a pop in jump. She has at least 25% TB blood, presenting as an exciting prospect for both the Showjumping and Eventing arenas. Sparkle is an embryo-transfer twin to Belrieve Calex, who is also offered for sale.

Sparkle is out of our resident broodmare Finch Farm Alexandria. “Alex” was a classy, careful and bold jumper who competed to 1* Eventing and 1.20m Showjumping before a paddock injury shortened her career. Her powerful, expressive jump caught the eye of many, and we are excited to see her progeny develop under saddle. Alex carries 50% TB blood by Finch Farm Cairo (Cassini II / Lire News XX) out of Finch Farm Averil (Animate / Taosearch XX), making her a truly versatile mare with proven performance lines.

Spakle’s sire, Calgary GNZ, is a proven competitor at Grand Prix and World Cup level. As a sire, he has produced multiple progeny now competing successfully at the top levels of both Showjumping and Eventing. Calgary GNZ descends from the renowned Holsteiner stamm 173, the family responsible for producing Capitol I (Ramzes/Vase)—one of the most influential jumping sires of the last century. His own sire, Casall, needs little introduction: a prolific producer of international sport horses and a winner of multiple Global Tours and Grand Prix classes, placing 4th at the World Championships and competing at the Olympic Games. Calgary’s dam, Henkel’s Countess, enjoyed a successful career across Germany, the USA and Canada before retiring to broodmare duties. She is by Calato, another exceptional sire and noted broodmare sire.
